Abandoned horses seek young riders (Prince Ed. Island)

The Journal Pioneer tell us:

SOUTH GRANVILLE — If you are 10 years old and passionate about horses, Handibear Hills Horse Sanctuary may have an opportunity for your.

The farm’s youth club, Trailblazers Horse Club, will be having its first introductory information meeting Saturday at 2 p.m. at the barn: Civic 2919, Hwy 231 in South Granville.

Handibear Hills adopts and cares for abandoned horses, using them to teach horsemanship and stable management to adults and children.

This charity is used as an outreach program to kids who would benefit from the discipline of caring for horses and ponies. The cost for the program year (February - October) is $200. ::
