Inspired by Catherine Rolson of Kingston, Ontaria, she encourages horse defenders who live in the area to please attend and make your voices heard for the horses.
Rolson also wishes October 26th to be a national day of commemoration of the horses who have died tragically in Canadian slaughterhouses.
| When: | Sunday, October 26, 2008, 2:30 pm |
| Where: | Parliament Buildings, Ottawa |
————————
If you cannot attend, then please hold a demonstration in your town or city to coincide with this event.
The CHDC asks citizens of Canada to write the Auditor General, the Minister of Agriculture and your Members of Parliament to voice your objections to this cruel practice.
Contact information and guidelines are on CHDC website at www.defendhorsescanada.org.
Shelley Grainger of the CHDC will be driving from the Toronto region to Ottawa. If you would like to make the drive with her, please send an email Attn: Shelley to info@defendhorsescanada.org .

In regards to the rally story – Stand Up and Defend Horses Canada RALLY – a few corrections are to be noted.
1. The name who began the rally is
Catherine McPherson of Kingston not Rolson ??
2. The ” last Sunday” of October is the true day that Kingston has made as the:
NATIONAL DAY OF COMMEMOATION OF THE HORSES” not the 26th.
The Kingston group has done a lot in regards to defending/helping horses and please note we do this on our own.
Thank you – Catherine McPherson
