Rocker Pink may love her namesake color — but, unfortunately for Selena Gomez, she draws the line at pink horses. On Thursday, Pink, 31, went red with rage when she saw a music video crew spraying colored paint on horses near her Malibu, Calif., home.
“If there are any animal activists around Malibu — at Leo Cabrillo State Beach, there are horses being painted for a stupid music video. Shame,” the pop singer tweeted on Thursday. “Artists should be more aware and responsible for their actions,” she added.
As it turns out, the pink horses were the responsibility of 18-year-old Disney Channel star Selena Gomez, who was shooting beach scenes for her new music video “Love You Like a Love Song.” Pink figured this out only when Gomez’s fans started sending angry Twitter messages Pink’s way — but that didn’t silence the “Raise Your Glass” singer. According to veterinary sources, there is no safe way to paint a live animal. We have contacted Selena Gomez through her agent, urging her to use some other prop for her video which does not included horses, painted or otherwise.
