Allegan Mustangs freed on California sanctuary

ALLEGAN, MI — The Michigan Horse Welfare Coalition reports that four more mustangs from a herd whose adoptions failed after they were brought to Michigan have been sent back to California for release in a sanctuary there.

The DreamCatcher Wild Horse & Burro Sanctuary is home, too, to a group of nine from the Allegan herd that were sent last fall.

DreamCatcher sanctuary is near the area where the horses were originally captured in August, 2010. Read more >>

  1. Thank You DreamCatcher and all the were involved in making this happen, !!!! I wish there were video of their release in California !!!!!There is nothing more beautiful for me , then a Wild Mustang release….. and see them run free !! OMG !!!!
