NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Traffic was slowed on Tuesday afternoon after a horse trailer wrecked on Interstate 440 westbound, south of downtown Nashville.
It happened around 12:45 p.m. at the split from I-24, near mile marker 7.
It was unclear what caused the crash, but the horse trailer was bent in the middle.
Officials said the horses were being taken from Lebanon to Mexico.
Thirty-six of the horses inside had to be moved to another trailer while one had to be euthanized when [he] couldn’t stand up.

Well, at least the horse that had to be euthanized ha an easier death than those other poor creatures that are continuing their trip to a hellish end.
Yes, it is the same owner / shipper that killed four in January in a trailer crash. The rest, like these, were put into another trailer right after the accident, and shipped straight to Mexico with no stops so rescuers would not have time to respond. The border patrol were told that the ones too injured for slaughter after they got there were abandoned, but we could not find out where.

Why doesn’t the news station elaborate A LOT MORE?! A “horse trailer”? Seriously? This is why the general public has no clue what happens to these horses. This makes me so sick. The media has such a huge opportunity to blow the whistle on so many underhanded dealings in the horse slaughter world. GRRR…

No, he’s not heartless it’s the check he picks up from the slaughter plant. These horses mean no more to him than a truck load of cattle.
Maybe one day he will be stomped by the cattle and be in a wheelchair, we dont want him to die, thats too quick.And yes this should be all over the news for the public to see and learn what is really going on.
Three angels farm was once again allowed a pass by veterinians state officials and law enforcement. In fact channel 5 made.a.comment that these horses appeared to be malnourished. Why do vets in Tn allow THISTLE? I live in Tn and I own horses. Who does the AVMA REPRESENT IN THIS STATE?
