Algorithms with jockey Javier Castellano up upsets Hansen on way to winning the Holy Bull Stakes (G3) at Gulfstream Park. Hallandale Beach, Florida. 01-28-2012
It has been so long since any of the horses aimed at the Kentucky Derby have been reported injured and out of the Run for the Roses — thankfully — we thought the trend had run its course (pardon a very tired pun). Sadly, that is not the case.
Here is what the Kentucky Derby injury trail looks like so far this year.
Just a reminder, this list is not comprehensive; just the ones we have noted in the media. Please feel free to give us a heads up any of the horses we have missed.

| Secret Circle | Bob Baffert | Injured seisomoid; surgery not required. |
Will be interesting to see who the winning trainer of this year’s Kentucky Demolition Derby is. It may be a dead heat between Baffert and Pletcher. Of course, that is unfair. We should give equal time to the breeders.
