Horse Slaughter Rap (video)

Horse Slaughter Rap asks “Why are you doing this to our horses?” and questions the motives of individuals, groups and politicians working to ensure horse slaughter continues.

The language is mildly graphic; the images, however, are strongly graphic, but occur only occasionally, and fast edited into the video.

Help end horse slaughter. We are working at the State legislative level, in the following states: Pro-Slaughter Tennessee, Missouri, Idaho, Kentucky, Oklahoma, S. Dakota and Minnesota. Anti-Slaughter Rhode Island, New York, Wisconsin

  1. There are many things that people can do to fight horse slaughter. I have sent at least 12 CD’s of the current video from Canada of the two slaughter plants along with a copy of the study about the drugs to all of the Governor’s of the states that have passed their bills including the ones whose legislatures all agreed to help defeat the passing of H.R.503/S.727. I don’t know if anyone will bother to look at it but I sent it just the same. I also found out last night that a auction in California that sells horses has banned killer buyers. This is unheard of. I don’t know the details but this info came from a horse rescue. If one person in each state sent a CD of the slaughter to each of the auctions in their state along with a cover letter asking the owner or management to ban killer buyers and if just one did it, that would be over 40 auctions that refuse to sell to killer buyers. If you don’t know how to burn a CD find someone that does. My daughter did mine. The box of blank CD’s cost about $6.00 I sent mine in the bubble mailers. It is under $2.00 each to mail them. The reason I am using the mail is because no one can delete it, they are forced to open the pkg.

  2. You are all correct. There is no reason for me to slander the video. I ruined my own day, if it’s any consolation. I loose my mind, and my manners, over all the abuse.

Those pictures of horse meat processing are rare and valuable and should be made public along with other evidence of inhumane practices in “processing”. I bet you cried while editing, Vivian, and I’m sorry for being insensitive to you.

Thank you for your contribution. Please forgive my outburst. I’m just so mad.

    1. Andrea, thank you for your comments. I certainly understand. I wanted to bring this issue to a different audience. I have never written anything like this, but it just came flowing out. I suppose it is years of frustration. People should be angry about horse slaughter. It is diabolical. If people didn’t want to eat it, horse slaughter butchers wouldn’t be in business.

    2. Hey Andrea

No worries. Things like this are very emotional and can stir things within us that are frustrating that make us feel like we have no power to change the way things are. That’s is why organizations like this exist. Together we can make a difference. Never stop fighting.
      Thanks

  4. I don’t like “Gangsta Rap”, but I do appreciate rap as street poetry, commentary, and criticism, which is where it started out. In my opinion, this cuts to the point, is well-produced, and extends outreach. I support it.

  5. Why didn’t the veterinarian societies evolve over the last century to shepherd animals right?
Why doesn’t the FDA do its job?

    1. MONEY. It’s all about MONEY.

Why do vets give dogs unnecessary and harmful “annual” vaccinations? MONEY.

The FDA has been infiltrated by agriculture & drug companies. They work for them, not us.

      GOOD VIDEO VIVIAN!!!!!!

  6. Sorry folks. I just know we’ll never win against the strongest arms in our society with weak muscle. I feel strongly about a professional approach. We have “little people” like us all up in arms. But it takes more than self-conscious self-expression to change the world. Why aren’t the big guys changing the USDA and it’s regulations and enforcements?

    1. Obviously we disagree. We are not appealing to those who know about and oppose horse slaughter. Considering what else is going on for the “horses’ sake” I don’t think they will mind this.
