OCALA – Sheriff’s deputies are seeking help finding four miniature horses that were stolen from Ocala West Training Center at 14871 S.W. 20th Place, according to the owner.

The victim told a sheriff’s deputy her daughter last saw the animals was Thursday, May 20. On Sunday, when they went to move the horses, they noticed four of the 18 were missing. A fifth mini had a white ribbon tied into the mane.

The missing horses – Echo, Knickers, Dance and Tixie – are valued at $2,000.

The owner said waited a little while to call authorities because she reported the incident to the farm manger and also searched for the animals herself.

Anyone with any information can call the Sheriff’s Office at 732-9111 or Crime Stoppers at 368-STOP, or visit www.ocalacrimestoppers.com.

  1. How cruel can someone be? Am forwarding to all my horse (large and small) loving friends. Please let us all know if and when they are found and that someone is prosecuted for this crime.
