LAS VEGAS, NV (Sept. 22, 2010) — Las Vegas Country Rock Band, Grey Beard Bandit, released their song “Wild Horses Need Our Voices” to the public Wednesday, September 22, 2010.
The tune has a riveting beat, complete with a helicopter’s mechanical drumming, a catchy call to action hook and great guitar solo.
“Most of all, it has a great message,” states Vivian Grant of the Int’l Fund for Horses, whose horse protection group has been gifted with the song by the band to use for raising awareness as well as some money when people buy the download. “The BLM (Bureau of Land Management) has no shame in its treatment of our wild horses. The song rallies people to call their Senators, Congressmen and the BLM to give their voices in defense of these iconic horses.”
There are now more wild horses and burros rounded up and held in BLM holding facilities than on public lands set aside for their protection and preservation.
“America’s wild horses are on the brink of extinction. With the federal government’s escalated roundups with thousands and thousands of horses being removed, their total disappearance may be much closer than we fear,” adds Grant.
