Call to oppose wild horse culler Callie’s appointment to BLM advisory board

Cholla the Famous Painting Horses on the Phone
Make a call today and March 1st to demand the removal of recent appointee Callie Hendrickson to represent the Public on the National Wild Horse & Burro Advisory Board. Hendrickson is openly pro horse slaughter.

Protest Interior Secretary Ken Salazar’s appointment of Callie Hendrickson to the BLM National Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board as the General Public Representative. Call, fax and/or email Salazar urging him to rescind Henrickson’s appointment immediately.

Number to Call: (202) 208-3100
Number to Fax: (202) 208-6956
Address to Email:

— Hendrickson supports the sale without limitation of all unadopted wild horses to the highest bidder (including slaughter buyers).

— Hendrickson does not represent you or the 80% of the General Public opposed to horse slaughter, confirmed in the recent poll conducted by Lake Research Partners.

Does Callie Hendrickson represent you? If your answer is NO, then please call, fax, and/or email Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and politely, but firmly ask that he rescind Callie Hendrickson’s appointment to the Advisory Board immediately.

NOTE: If you choose to take action right now, we are very grateful for your participation. We ask that you also save the date, March 1st, and take action on that day as well.

There is so much at stake for America’s wild horses and burros, we cannot make too many calls, or send too many faxes or emails.

Many herd management areas are empty of wild horses and burros due to the BLM’s destructive practices. We will never know for certain how many wild horses and burros remain in the wild due to the BLM’s unscrupulous accounting practices. It is like only a few thousand, when there used to be millions.

One thing is for certain. There are more wild horses languishing in federal long-term holding facilities than out on the open range. And now the BLM is appointing pro horse slaughter individuals to the advisory board so they can sell these horses to the slaughterers.
