A businesswoman has combined her professional expertise with her passion for horses to help individuals reach their potential.
Emma Taylor, of Shipston-on-Stour, worked at top level in human resources and relaxed with her beloved horses, Hermione and Arquiero, in her time off.
“I began to realise that many of the problems we were seeing in HR – management issues and communication skills – were not always easy to deal with,” she said.
“The programmes we put in place didn’t always work. But I had always known my horses are the most accurate mirror of my behaviour and I decided to link the two.
“Every business needs people to be engaged and to want to keep working for you, happy and enthusiastic and that calls for effective leadership.” Ms Taylor’s equine guided leadership courses at The Bay Horse Speaks are designed to give participants a unique experience as they learn new and honest ways of leading.
“Traditional role play is not a ‘real’ situation but this is. It’s much more interactive and it goes a step further. It’s real. They are working with horses that are incredibly direct and have no agenda,” she said.
“People and groups go away with a most valuable and unforgettable experience that stays with them in business and their personal life.”
Ms Taylor works in partnership with company HR departments, sometimes on an ongoing basis.
