Before I show you what I found in a People’s Pharmacy article, I must ask: Aren’t there plenty of lubricants that women of any age can use? Does a woman of a certain age really need something that a younger woman doesn’t? Premarin Cream to our way of thinking is extremely dangerous business — and not just to the horses — and unnecessary.

Q. I was diagnosed with uterine and ovarian cancer last year. After a complete hysterectomy and months of chemo, I talked to my GYN/oncologist about vaginal dryness.
He prescribed Premarin cream. He said it’s very low-dose estrogen and not absorbed into the bloodstream, unlike estrogen pills that are not advised for someone like me who has had a hormonal cancer. He told me that the risk of developing breast cancer from this cream is incredibly small. He’s the head of the department and a GYN/oncologist for more than 25 years, so he should know.

During a current TV commercial for Premarin Vaginal Cream, the voice-over says, “Estrogens may increase your chances of getting cancer of the uterus, strokes, blood clots or dementia.” This suggests that estrogen is absorbed from the vagina.

Why do we care so much about Premarin Cream on a horse protection blog. Because this evil mess is made with animal waste, namely Pregnant Mare’s Urine.
You can see where the names Premarin comes from. But Pfizer who are responsible for this drug have more bad news for women and horses with their latest additions to the Premarin family of drugs — Duavee (in the U.S.) and Duavive (in Europe).
For women taking “horse pee” drugs, beware ladies. Beware.

We love the article (see below). It will help women wondering about menopausal symptoms and their sex lives. Strictly about women; doesn’t even mention the horse abuse from the making of these drugs.
