JOIN THE BOYCOTT / PROTEST IN SHELBYVILLE, TENNESSEE AGAINST BIG LICK CRUELTY AND HORSE SORING

The 2015 Citizens Campaign Boycott Protest against Big Lick Animal Cruelty will take place initially in front of the Calsonic Arena on Thursday and Friday afternoons this week.
We are calling upon the Citizens of Tennessee and surrounding states to BOYCOTT the Big Lick Animal Cruelty at the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration which begins Thursday, August 27, 2015.

| WHERE: | In front of the Calsonic Arena at the intersection of Celebration Drive and Whittorne Street, Shelbyville, TN.
Protestors will gather in the parking lot West of Celebration Drive. |
| TIME: | 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2015. |
| SIGNS: | Signs and Free T shirts will be provided to Protestors. |

Working people cannot participate in the protests because they are always scheduled during work hours. There’s strength in numbers. I hope you have a great turnout for this cause.

However I have signed many a petition and emailed the relevant persons against this horrendous abuse. I wish you well and good luck.

The most important thing anyone can do is to contact your Congresspeople and senators and ask them to cosponsor The PAST Act S1121. That’s really all you have to say. Simply call your elected Congresspeople and senators. Tell them they can help end this abuse once and for all by cosponsoring S1121. Pe positive, be polite, but be persistent.

I used to breed Tennessee Walking Horses way up here in SD. We would foal out maybe 4 or 5 every spring. My stallion has “babies” in many states. I stopped breeding because I couldn’t be sure one of the babies I foaled out, imprinted, raised up and trained would not end up in a sore trainer’s barn somewhere. At first I was sad but then I got mad and then I got busy. Please contact your Congresspeople and ask them to cosponsor The PAST Act S1121. That’s really all you have to say. You don’t need to know the entire history of the abuse and/or all the hoops we have been jumping through but simply call your elected Congresspeople and tell them they can help end this abuse once and for all by cosponsoring S1121. Thank you.

These people who are attempting to keep this unspeakable and inhumane “sport” going, are SADISTS! The Oxford dictionary defines the meaning of “sadism” as follows – pleasure derived from inflicting or watching cruelty.
There are far too many politicians today who have no morals and are so easily bought.
Continually torturing these magnificent voiceless horses is CRIMINAL and the perpetrators should be brought before the law courts and prosecuted for horrific animal cruelty, found guilty and locked up!

I saw the photo too and the article that went with it said the two politicians Lamar Alexander of Tenn and the other crook Mitch McConnell from KY introduced legislation that was drafted by horse soring industry as a diversion from the” Past Act” According to the article from HSUS their bill promises no meaningful reform it is simply a
legislative blocking maneuver. That is what I would I expect from these two paid off crooks that are given plenty of money under the table from the BigLick to never bother any of the breeders or trainers. There is no way of ever knowing just how many young horses ended up crippled and shipped off to slaughter because of this unending greed.

Thank you for posting this, as today the HSUS released a horrific video on an under cover investigation at Thor Sports Walking horse barn the video is very disturbing and tears from me continue to flow for these horses . PLEASE I am begging everyone to help end this torture to these horses,
