July 15th is I Love Horses Day 2016

According to National Day Calendar July 15th is National I Love Horses Day, just a couple of days away.

The National Day Calendar writes:

Horse and equestrian lovers across the nation celebrate each year on July 15th as National I Love Horses Day and is one of their favorite holidays. This day pays tribute to, and honors, the horse. According to an Animal Planet poll, the horse is the world’s fourth favorite animal.

This day is a great opportunity to learn more about horses. Did you know for instance that horses have the largest eyes of all land mammals? Also, horses are lateral-eyed, giving them a range of vision of more than 350°.

Celebrate

To celebrate National I Love Horses Day, be sure to spend time with your horses or perhaps someone’s that you know.

Go riding, groom your horses, volunteer at a horse rescue. Foster a horse or donate to a charity that helps horses. Post on social media using #NationalILoveHorsesDay.

July 15th is also Give Something Away Day.

How about doubling up on the celebrations by checking with your local horse rescue, shelter or any group that helps horses. Find out what’s on their Wish List and give it to them.

Who knows, you may already have something in your home, barn or stable that they need. When you deliver your gift, be sure to love on some horses while you are there. Send us your pictures and we will post them here on Tuesday’s Horse.
