Vampire farm hell as British meat at centre of cruel horse hormone torture

GREAT BRITAIN — Tens of thousands of pregnant horses are kept on blood farms for fertility product which is then sold to UK vets and factory farmers to help increase production

Crammed into pens and repeatedly forced into pregnancy, these are the pitiful horses whose blood is extracted on horrific “vampire” farms to boost meat production.

The mares have giant needles stuck into their jugular veins to suck out a powerful fertility hormone which is later injected into other animals so they can have more babies much quicker.

The vile process, carried out cheaply on farms in South America to avoid strict EU welfare regulations, has been branded “industrial horse torture” by animal campaign groups.

Undercover footage also shows violent handling and abuse. Horses are beaten with wooden boards and sticks, and tortured by excessive electric prod use.

Meat sold in Britain comes from animals that have been given the hormone, known as Pregnant Mare’s Serum Gonadotropin (PMSG).

PMSG is mostly used in the farming of pigs for meat products such as bacon, sausages and chops.

  1. Makes me ashamed to be a human animal.
Just like us the equine animal is one of God’s living creatures, that has basic needs to live: water, food, shelter, freedom to live and a good reason to live!

But what do we do to them? We abuse them so shockingly that it makes me feel so very ill. How dare we smash their rights to live!?
