Red, white and blue patriotic parfaits

Hey there from Patsy. You can probably do these without a recipe but I’ll give you one I found over at Kitchen Treaty. First though . . . loving the quilted look of these mason jars. Look.

I’m kind of obsessed with mason jars. With so many I rotate sets of mason jars between my upstairs and basement storage!

Here’s the recipe from Kitchen Treaty. It’s actually for the 4th of July.

No fresh strawberries where I am so I used frozen strawberries and blueberries. Just thawed them out in a colander and handled them as little and gently as possible with a wooden not metal spoon so I didn’t mush them.

3/4 cup chopped strawberries (about 6 medium strawberries)
1/3 cup fresh blueberries
1 (5-ounce) container vanilla yogurt (or vegan yogurt)
1/3 cup of your favorite granola

Add half the granola to your cup or jar, then half the strawberries and blueberries. Spoon half the yogurt over the top. Layer again with granola, then berries, then remaining yogurt. Top with star-shaped strawberries and blueberries if desired. Serve with a long spoon.

These are of course geared for summertime but you can serve these year ’round. Gotta bunch of kids in their pj’s right now having these for breakfast.

Big hugs, Patsy.

P.S. Sign up for Amazon Prime and help the horses. Or how about Amazon Music Unlimited? Give the gift of Amazon Prime! My very favorite . . . Amazon Home Services (house cleaning, furniture assembly, pressure washing, gutter cleaning, carpet cleaning, home theater set up and installation & more).

Get Kerr quilted Mason jars. I just ordered some to give as gifts. Everybody loves them.
