Thousands of US equine advocates are depending on the superior intelligence and compassion of the Canadian government to take the lead to shut down the borders to American horses, and to shut down Canadian slaughter plants. If you were not aware, the “kill buyers” that ship horses across the border are mostly individuals that are sociopaths, have criminal records, and a history or blackmail, extortion and intimidation. You are supporting and enforcing a criminal industry. I can also tell you that the majority of their documents are false. I have hundreds of personal experiences of this. Moreover, Covid 19 is the perfect reason to cease this this practice as horse meat is certainly toxic!! Moreover, the brutality and the torture these horses endure is immoral. No country should be known for their brutality and lack of morality. We (Americans) held Canada to a higher standard. I hope we can depend on you!!! We will continue to pursue what is right and just for horses.
