Tell Delaware to revoke training license of horse abuser Amber Cobb

Open quote

When the Delaware Thoroughbred Racing Commission reduced a two-year suspension to just 60 days for trainer Amber Cobb, who was found by Delaware Park’s board of stewards to have “demonstrated cruelty to a horse in her care,” the Paulick Report was besieged with messages of outrage and disgust from a wide array of people in Thoroughbred racing.

“I feel so sick,” one trainer commented after watching the video that accompanied Paulick Report editor-in-chief Natalie Voss’ story on the appeals hearing that led to the reduction of Cobb’s suspension. “That girl should never, ever be allowed near another horse. … I can’t remember watching a video I was more shocked at seeing ever in my life.”

Contact the Delaware Thoroughbred Racing Commission and demand they immediately revoke the training license of Amber Cobb for beating and terrorizing a racehorse. Simply suspending Cobb will not do — the time period which has now been reduced. Cobb must be removed from horse racing and barred from having any employment which brings her into contact with horses.

  1. I was just on the Delaware Racing Commission website. I was on the Thoroughbred Racing Commission DTRC Rulings. The ruling concerning Amber Cobb is the last one posted (she had an earlier ruling for a separate issue). The document is dated September 10th and indicates Amber Cobb is summarily suspended effective today pending a hearing before the Board of Stewards at Delaware Park. Next to Suspension End Date, no date is specified. Why did they not just revoke her license?

She is clearly abusing that poor horse. It looks as if this is not an isolated incident. If I could, I would buy that poor horse and provide her a good home. If you read the, Cobb said she was scared the filly would come at her again and that she didn’t hit her that hard. She attributed the horse’s fall to slippery stall mats. Cobb said she didn’t want to hurt her and she just wanted her to be okay. Tying the poor horse to the wall so she couldn’t escape the beating is abuse and not concern for the horse’s wellbeing. She was clearly cursing and the horse was terrified. How would she feel if she were tethered to the wall while she was cursed at and beaten? This is sickening.

  3. I’m certain I know someone who will indeed “horsewhip” the Cobb creature. It is nothing less than she deserves. Otherwise, she will continue in her perversions, as she is not normal.

  4. Hope that this dirty little brainless idiot with such a big mouth simply dies. How many times did she do this before she got caught ?
2 years old… this horse is still a baby !!
And the race commission accepts that ?? who are the judges ?? certainly some republican oldies. These judges are a shame on America :(

  5. Amber is a disgrace to the human race! Red flag alert !!! Keep your children, elderly, disabled or any other vulnerable being away from this monster!!

  6. Post her address as I’d really enjoy ‘training’ Amber Cobb. She is a pathetic excuse for a human.
