Vegan Super Bowl LI Recipes

Because it has been all hands to battle stations on just about every horse protection issue there is (plus some we are only just learning about), we have not put together a new list of Vegan snacks for this year’s Super Bowl. But do not despair.

There is nothing wrong with taking a look at last year’s Vegan Super Bowl recipes. I am going to make all of them plus the one below and watch movies instead (don’t tell anyone).

The Hummus That Changed Everything

I am adding the following recipe to my list of goodies for Super Sunday. It is one I make regularly and never, ever get tired of. It is indeed “The Hummus That Changed Everything“. It’s from Oh She Glows. Naturally!

But the treat I am most looking forward to from last year is the one pictured below. Sun-Dried Tomato Basil pinwheels.

This recipe is so easy.

Dana, who created it, says “This recipe is simple, requiring just 8 ingredients and 15 minutes to prepare! Just stir filling ingredients, spread into a tortilla, roll and slice!”

Clydesdale Super Bowl Commercials

After a tumultuous week let’s look at something that makes us feel good. With the Super Bowl just around the corner it’s time to think Clydesdale horses and some of the best ads ever.

Budweiser are not giving much away this year. But they will tell us this much:

“As per tradition, we know that parent-company Anheuser-Busch has purchased some ad slots in Super Bowl LI. This will be their 29th year in the Big Game!

“And while there won’t be any puppies this year, the Clydesdales will be back! The Budweiser Super Bowl LI commercial was filmed in New Orleans which is where the company’s founder, Adolphus Busch, first arrived to in America.”

In the meantime, here are the Clydesdales and Purina in action helping out in a big, big way. If this doesn’t warm the cockles of your heart, nothing will.

We polled our staff to help pick our all time favorite this one squeaked by to win.

Which one is your favorite? Perhaps this one?

Do you wish you could watch every Budweiser Super Bowl commercial? The Florida-Times Union has links to them all.  Go to this page, scroll down to the end of the article and you will see the years 1998 through 2016 listed. Click on the year to watch that year’s commercial.
