U.S. bill banning horse slaughter H.R.3355 has 60 cosponsors

H.R.3355 — Federal legislation “To amend the Horse Protection Act to prohibit the shipping, transporting, moving, delivering, receiving, possessing, purchasing, selling, or donation of horses and other equines to be slaughtered for human consumption, and for other purposes.”

The bill was introduced May 19, 2021 by Rep. Janice D. Schakowsky [D-IL-9] and referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.

As of June 17, 2021, H.R.3355 has 60 cosponsors.
